Let me tell you about my hairdresser, Amy Bates. I've had the pleasure of knowing Amy for three years. She started doing my hair every six months as I flew into Kelowna for business. When I moved here permanently, going to see Amy became a regular treat.
The care and attention Amy pays to each haircut can make you feel like you're her first customer of the day, when in fact you're the last in a hectic week. Amy is a very talented stylist, and skilled colourist. She knows what will suit her clients, and she is always up to date with the latest styles and techniques. Every visit to her chair is an absolute pleasure.
Her salon is one of the most welcoming places to visit in Kelowna, and unlike any I encountered living in London. She is a positive and restoring individual, with natural leadership skills and a big heart. Her staff are fun, warm and passionate about their jobs. Every customer leaves with a smile on their face, and a spring in their step. It's no surprise that some of them pop in at the weekend, just to say hello.
There aren't many people a woman visits regularly, confides in and trusts as much as I do Amy. Not only is she my hairdresser, but she's also a very dear friend whom I value enormously.
I know whatever she takes on next, she will make a success. Amy is highly employable, and deserves the very best opportunities in life. Although I'm very sad she's moving on, I'm very excited to see what she does next.

I have worked for Amy Bates for close to 2 years. Over this time I have always been impressed with the level of professionalism and expertise she has used with clients and staff. The atmosphere in the salon has always been vibrant and that is due to Amy's positive attitude towards all aspects in the work place. I was really nervous at first, but after reading her AMAZING reviews on Yelp - I decided to go meet with the infamous Amy Bates for the first time. That was about 3 years ago and I have never looked back. She has been the first Hairdresser I've trusted to dye my hair. She's taking me from brunette, to blonde, to rose gold, to dark chocolate - all while managing it to make it look completely natural! She has also styled my hair from long, to rockstar layers, to short. I trust her implicitly, and enjoy her company so very much! She is such a beautiful soul, and so engaging to spend the day with. You will feel pampered from head to toe when you leave, and get a good dose of tender love and care. I have followed her from salon to salon, because anywhere Amy Bates is, is a wonderful place and a place that you want to be!
