ABOUT ME

I have been a successful stylist since 2003 and owned my own salon - Mod Salon from 2005 until 2011. I have travelled to the Toni & Guy Oxford St Academy in London, England six times since 2005 to study with the Artistic Directors. I brought three of my staff members with me in 2010 to the Academy and we had an experience together that will go down as one of the best in my life. My last visit to the Academy for training was in April of 2017. I have also studied in Paris, Milan, Manchester, Toronto, Seattle, and Vancouver to keep my excitement fresh and my clients styles ahead of the fashion curve.

One of my other passions in the industry is building a community with my clientele. One of the many ways I did this was to organize photo shoots where clients of the shop were the models, and we used these photos to decorate and promote the shop throughout the year. It became a large part of our brand. I also enjoyed hosting events and fundraisers to support the local Women's Shelter, and created a long term relationship with them.

In December 2011, I left Canada to follow my husband to Seattle as he has landed a wonderful promotion with Disney. He is an exceptional Graphic Designer and his years and hard work at Disney are being recognized and rewarded. This move has left me with the opportunity to explore a new adventure. With this new adventure I felt I had to focus on the here and now and so I sold Mod Salon to one of my long time stylists, Tabatha Barker who has continued to grow and flourish the culture and business. Mod Salon was, and continues to be, a boutique salon in the heart of downtown Kelowna, BC, Canada.

I am a self starter, a leader, a trainer, a business woman, a creative stylist and colorist, and my vision is aligned strongly with the trends out of London in all things hair and fashion. With my experience and passion, I have grown a loyal clientele over nearly 10 years in Los Angeles, and we have recently relocated to the Palm Springs area to start another adventure! I look forward to building a loyal clientele here while still doing a monthly residency in Los Angeles.
